Shide are the folded paper streamers, shaped like lightning, that hang around a shrine to mark the ground as sacred. We named this handmade notebook after them, because a notebook deserves the same care: not loose paper, but the place your thoughts and ideas are kept.
Handbound under a hard linen cover, it holds 120 blank, unruled pages of Munken Pure 90g, ready for notes, lists, writing, or sketching. The first page leaves a space to give the notebook its name.
It comes with its own side-opening case, closed with a string wound around a washer. Closing it is a small, deliberate gesture that keeps what you've written, quite literally, to yourself. Most notebooks are made to be used up; this one is made to be kept.
